The programme
Architecture events, small enough to talk at.
BinaForm runs a standing programme of architecture networking events and meetups across Dubai, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, for architects, interior and landscape designers, engineers, consultants and the developers who commission them.
A conference is a crowd once a year. This is a room that meets often, kept deliberately small, so a conversation has somewhere to go afterwards.
Dates are being set now. Members are invited before anyone else, and the remaining places go to the waitlist.
What an evening looks like.
A dinner is one long table of fourteen to eighteen people, seated deliberately, with no presentations and no badges. A studio visit is an hour inside a practice, walking the boards and the models with the people who drew them. A site visit is a building while it is still concrete and scaffolding, with the architect and the contractor walking it with you.
Padel and the socials are the relaxed end of it, which is where most of the real relationships actually start. And when the industry gathers somewhere anyway, at Cityscape in Riyadh or the Triennial in Sharjah, members go as a group with a private breakfast of their own.

Questions
What architecture events run in Dubai?
BinaForm runs private dinners, studio visits, site visits, workshops, padel and socials for its members across Dubai and the wider UAE. They are small on purpose, usually fourteen to twenty four people, and they are not open to the public.
Are the events open to anyone?
No. BinaForm is an application based members community, so events are for members first. Places that remain afterwards are offered to the waitlist. Joining the waitlist is the way in.
Which cities do the events run in?
Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, and Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, with the programme following where members are. Members travelling for Cityscape Global or the Sharjah Architecture Triennial gather as a group there too.
How is this different from an architecture meetup?
A meetup is open, large and one off. This is a closed membership that meets regularly, where everyone in the room has been through the same application, and where the directory carries the relationship on between evenings.
