Cityscape Global runs from 16 to 19 November 2026 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre in Malham, with the halls open from midday until ten at night. It is the largest room in the region for the business of building, and it is a different world from an architecture exhibition: this is developers, investors, government, contractors and the consultants who serve them.
Who is actually there
Developers launching projects, investors deciding what to back, government entities setting the frame, and every consultancy in the region trying to be seen by all three. The organisers list more than four hundred speakers across four stages, covering government programmes, development, hospitality, retail, construction and technology.
For an architect, that mix is the value. In four days you can hear what is being launched, see which typologies are being bet on, and work out which consultants are already on which panels. That is a year of press releases compressed into a week, and it is far more honest in person.
There is also a student track
Cityscape runs a hackathon for young talent. In the last edition, architecture students worked from the Saudi Architecture Characters Map and presented concepts on stage. If you employ juniors, send them. If you teach, point your students at it.
How to work the four days
Do not treat it as a portfolio review, because nobody at a stand will read a portfolio. Bring a one page profile: name, disciplines, three projects, one line on what you are looking for. Pick five people you intend to meet before you arrive, and find out where they will be. Spend the first afternoon walking the halls without talking to anyone, so you know the map. Book the follow up while you are standing there, because the Monday after a show is when everything evaporates. And go in the evening: the halls run to ten, and the last two hours are when conversations get real.
What to watch for
Watch which developers are launching residential against mixed use, how much of the programme is hospitality, and who is being given stage time by the government entities. Those three things tell you where the next two years of work sits, and which practices will be staffing up for it.
